The Adagio Traveler:Independent. Discerning. Inquisitive. Appreciate structure while realizing the value of spontaneity. Turned off by big tour buses. Prefer "small and charming" to "lavish and grandiose." Enjoy physical activity, but not if it means missing the flavor of your surroundings. Sound like you?If so, Adagio Travel was conceived with you in mind. In Italian, adagio means "slowly, with care, gently," and this is exactly how our tours are paced. Since 1999 we have been creating and catering journeys to less-traveled parts of Italy for small groups of like-minded travelers. In 2005 we added a trip to a private manor house owned by friends of ours in Provence, France. Mosey our way. . .What sets our small group trips apart? Clients say it's the feeling of being an honored guest, rather than a tourist. Our founder studied in France and Italy, has worked in tourism for nearly 20 years and lived in Italy from 1997 to 2002. She puts together tours in the places she knows best and that recall her fondest memories. They reflect her view that your travel experience should stay with you much longer than the few days you are away from home. Most of our groups are made up of 8 to 10 people, never more than 16. Our tours last from 6 to 10 days and are priced from $2,440. |
